Raibart mor (b. ~1500), youngest documented son of Dubhgall ciar, settled in Strathyre. His descendants took the surname Buchanan during the proscription. Robert MacColl (Raibart mor's grandson) is recorded in 1604 with his sons John, Malcolm and Patrick, all using the Buchanan alias.
